Replacing slewing bearing bolts
The manufacturer and safety regulations (Italian art. 71 D.lgs 81/08) require to regularly check and replace the turntable bearing bolts of your crane.
The preventive replacement of the bearing bolts is prescribed by the manufacturer in the use and maintenance manual, the frequency of this intervenction varies according to the manufacturer and the type of crane. Referring to Potain cranes the frequency indicated is every 8 years (in case of untreated bolts) or every 12 years (in case of treated bolts).
